Trump delivered the remarks at the Faith & Freedom Coalition’s 2026 policy conference on Friday, using the platform to cast the Democratic Party as vulnerable to a communist takeover. “These are not social democrats, these are hardcore, godless communists,” Trump said. “This is the most serious threat to our country since its existence, in my opinion, 250 years ago.”

It will be Third World,” he said. “But it’s not going to happen to the United States of America because communism really is the past and freedom is the future.”
