MARIETTA, GEORGIA — Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.has won a $142.9 million contract to sustain software for the C-5 Galaxy transport aircraft, announced July 6, 2026.

This contract provides software updates and maintenance, supporting certification artifacts, systems integration laboratory maintenance, engineering and technical support, and software engineering support services. Work will be performed in Marietta, Georgia; and Greenville, South Carolina, and is expected to be completed by May 20, 2032. This contract was a sole source acquisition. Fiscal 2026 operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $19.3 million are being obligated at time of award.
