Mark Lamb served as sheriff of Pinal County, a sprawling jurisdiction south of Phoenix that straddles key migration corridors between Mexico and the Phoenix metro area. Trump framed the endorsement around Lamb’s law enforcement background, describing him as someone who “knows the Wisdom and Courage it takes to Ensure LAW AND ORDER.” The endorsement spanned a broad policy slate including border security, tax cuts, deregulation, domestic manufacturing and energy production.

Trump’s backing could carry significant weight in a Republican primary for the district.
