Donald Trump posted a video with no accompanying text to Truth Social, the social-media platform owned by the media company he controls.

The post carried a single video attachment and no written message, leaving the clip itself as the entire communication to his followers. truthsocial sits at the center of Trump Media & Technology Group C orp.., the Sarasota, Florida, company majority-owned by the Trump Revocable Trust, according to Google.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “truthsocial post containing one video.” on August 8, 2026 at 1:08 PM ET.

This is Trump’s fifth message released today, and the last post was five hours ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 50 of his 480 posts over the last 30 days classified as image-only posts.

The platform functions as Trump’s primary channel for reaching supporters directly, bypassing traditional media outlets.Trump Media & Technology Group C orp.runs truthsocial and a planned subscription streaming service. Its board has included his son Trump Jr., Devin Nunes, and former administration officials Robert Lighthizer, Kash Patel and Linda McMahon, according to Google.

The company’s finances frame why each burst of activity on the platform draws attention. Trump Media reported revenue of $3.6 million in 2024 and a net loss of $400.9 million that same year, according to Google. The firm posted a loss of $605.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2025 and a loss of $405.9 million in the first quarter of 2026, according to Google.

Investors have watched the stock swing sharply since it began trading publicly. Shares of the company, which trades on the Nasdaq, Inc.under the ticker Trump Media & Technology Group C orp., once topped $79 following its public offering before falling back, according to Google. The firm’s market value stood near $3.65 billion in December 2025 and slipped to roughly $2.47 billion by May 2026, according to Google.

For an average reader with no direct stake, the post matters as a signal of how the president speaks to tens of millions of Americans without editorial filters. Every video, image or line of text can move markets, shape political debate or set the day’s news agenda.

This has happened many times before. Image-only and video-only posts form a routine feature of Trump’s output, with 50 such posts over the last 30 days out of 480 total. The pattern shows the platform serving as a steady outlet for visual messaging rather than written statements.

Trump alone decides what he posts next and when, and no schedule governs the timing of his next message. A date for any further post has not been announced.

Trump’s reliance on his own platform is not the first time a public figure has built a personal megaphone after losing another. Twitter banned Trump on January 8, 2021, following the January 6 Capitol attack, and within months he unveiled a website titled “From the Desk of Trump” that closed within a month, according to Google.Trump Media & Technology Group C orp.incorporated in February 2021 and launched truthsocial on February 21, 2022, according to Google. The venture went public on March 26, 2024, through a merger with a special-purpose acquisition company, cementing the platform Trump now uses daily.
