WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald Trump celebrated the renaming of Palm Beach International Airport by sharing a newspaper clipping of the ceremony on a Truth Social post on July 11, 2026 at 7:16 AM EST.

The post included a photograph of a Palm Beach Post front page documenting the event. Reporter Hannah Phillips wrote that Eric Trump, Trump Jr., County Administrator Joseph Abruzzo, Commissioner Maria Marino and about two dozen officials became the first passengers to touch down at the newly minted Trump International Airport on July 9 in West Palm Beach.
The group departed in Trump’s private jet, known as Trump Force One, before sunrise at 4:30 a.m. and landed 30 minutes later at the same airport, cheering as they touched down. The president was not on board the inaugural flight, though a bobblehead version of him sat in the cockpit overlooking the pilots. The Trump Organization did not publicize the flight, so the crowd on the tarmac was small.
