Donald Trump has touted Micron’s accelerated $250 billion U.S. spending commitment as proof of what he calls “the Trump Effect” on a Truth Social post on July 10, 2026 at 6:35 PM EST (see truthsocial).

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “BIGGER INVESTMENTS JUST KEEP COMING! The Trump Effect is REAL! Micron is accelerating its U.S. spending to a MASSIVE 250 BILLION DOLLARS to build Memory Chips right here in the U.S.A. For years, the Do Nothing Dumocrats bogged down American Industry with crushing Red Tape, complete Economic Mismanagement, and ridiculous Woke Mandates. They stalled everything. Not anymore! We are slashing the Radical Left’s Job killing Regulations, and actually GETTING SHOVELS IN THE GROUND. We are reshooting Manufacturing to America, and securing our Supply Chains. This means THOUSANDS of GREAT JOBS for Hardworking Patriots all across our Country. True Economic Security is MADE IN AMERICA. 🇺🇸MAGA! Trump”

Trump framed the Micron investment as a direct result of his administration’s deregulation agenda. He claimed previous Democratic leadership had stalled American industry with what he described as “crushing Red Tape” and “Woke Mandates.” His administration, Trump said, is “slashing” regulations and driving manufacturing back to the United States.

Micron Technology is one of the world’s largest memory chip manufacturers, producing DRAM and NAND flash memory used in smartphones, data centers, and artificial intelligence applications. A $250 billion domestic spending commitment would rank among the largest single-company investments in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing history (see 247wallst.com). The pledge arrives as lawmakers from both parties push to reduce American dependence on foreign chip production, particularly from East Asia. Federal subsidies under the CHIPS and Science Act, signed into law in 2022, have already spurred billions in new factory commitments from Micron, Intel, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company.

Trump’s post also carried a political dimension, attacking Democrats and claiming credit for a resurgence in domestic manufacturing. He said the investment would generate “THOUSANDS of GREAT JOBS” and declared that “True Economic Security is MADE IN AMERICA.”
