The pollster John McLaughlin wrote that Democrats lead the generic congressional ballot 48% to 43%, but that lead reverses when the contest is posed as free-market capitalism against big-government socialism, according to Yahoo Inc.. The numbers describe a difficult environment for Republicans seeking to keep their House and Senate majorities.
