Trump says the strikes retaliate for a failed Iranian sea-mine attempt and eight missiles fired at a U.S. base in Jordan, and warns of a harder blow if Tehran responds.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald Trump said the United States is striking Iranian Targets near the Strait of Hormuz in what he described as large and powerful retaliation. Trump made the claim in a post on Truth Social. He tied the operation to a failed Iranian attempt to lay sea mines in the strait and to missiles fired at a U.S.Military Base in Jordan. Trump warned that Iran would be hit harder if it retaliates.

The strikes are large and powerful, and in retaliation for the Iranians’ failed attempt at adding sea mines to the Strait, which currently has no mines (They have been completely removed or detonated!), and the Iranians shooting eight missiles, all successfully knocked down, at our Military Base in Jordan. If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level, but it will not be the biggest attack of them all, that is waiting in the wings and, when it is over, there will be very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran! The United States deployed dozens of military aircraft to Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in the run-up to strikes on Iran, according to France 24. A Jordanian military official said the kingdom’s forces shot down two ballistic missiles targeting its territory, and Jordan’s Public Security Directorate later reported “no casualties but only material damage,” according to france24.
