Trump Endorses Sullivan, Warns Alaskans of a Second Dan Sullivan on Ballot

Trump backs incumbent Republican Senator Dan Sullivan for re-election and urges Alaska voters not to confuse him with a same-named challenger in the August 18 primary.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald Trump endorsed Senator Dan Sullivan for re-election and warned Alaska voters not to confuse him with a second candidate sharing the same name on the ballot.

Sullivan, the Republican incumbent seeking a third term representing Alaska, previously served as State Attorney General and as Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, according to sullivan.senate.gov. Trump said Sullivan has backed his agenda in the Senate. He pointed to the recent purchase of 11 new Arctic Security Cutter icebreakers, which he called the first such ships bought in more than 40 years.
