Trump taps Oklahoma attorney Trevor Pemberton for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, citing his record as a district judge, appellate judge and General Counsel to the Governor.

Donald Trump said he will nominate Trevor Pemberton to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, praising the Oklahoma jurist’s record on the bench and in state government.

Here is the full post on truthsocial: “I am pleased to nominate Trevor Pemberton to serve as Judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. I won Oklahoma all three times, with the Highest Vote Total ever recorded in the State’s History, and all 77 out of 77 Counties — SO OBVIOUSLY, I LOVE OKLAHOMA! Trevor is a longtime public servant with a strong record as a District Judge for Oklahoma County, an Appellate Judge on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, and General Counsel to the Governor. Trevor received his J.D. from Oklahoma City University, and B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. Trevor will be a Strong Defender of the Constitutional Rights of all Oklahomans. Pemberton is an appellate advocate, mediator and government practitioner who founded the Pemberton Law Group according to pembertonlawgroup. Oklahoma County District Judges appointed him a Special District Judge, and a gubernatorial appointment later made him a District Judge, where he managed a civil docket and presided over dozens of jury trials before serving as Chief Judge of the Juvenile Justice System according to pembertonlawgroup. He then joined the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals and served as General Counsel to the Governor of Oklahoma for three years according to pembertonlawgroup.

Pemberton earned his B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 2005 and his J.D., with honors, from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2008, where he was a Merit Scholar and member of the National Trial Team according to pembertonlawgroup. He holds admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States according to pembertonlawgroup.
