Trump backs Mike Mazzei for Oklahoma governor, blasts Gentner Drummond
Trump endorses former state senator Mike Mazzei in the Oklahoma Republican gubernatorial runoff and attacks Attorney General Gentner Drummond ahead of the August 25 vote.
WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald Trump endorsed Mike Mazzei, a former Oklahoma state senator, for governor and attacked his runoff opponent, Attorney General Gentner Drummond.
Trump gave Mazzei his full backing in a truthsocial post while casting Drummond as a “FAKE Republican” and tying him to donations to Joe Biden and the Lincoln Project. “Mike Mazzei has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Governor,” Trump said in the post, urging Oklahomans to VOTE for him.
Here is the full post on truthsocial: “MAGA Warrior Mike Mazzei is running for Governor in Oklahoma, where I was the ONLY President to win ALL 77 Counties in three straight Elections (Ronald Reagan was second!). Additionally, I won more VOTE s than any Candidate in the State’s History! I LOVE Oklahoma, and Mike Mazzei has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Governor! Meanwhile, his Runoff Election Opponent,Gentner Drummond, is a FAKE Republican, who donated to SLEEPY Joe Biden, and the totally corrupt and anti-American “Lincoln Project.” … Mike Mazzei is for this desperately needed Job Producing Aluminum Plant. Drummond, for his own reasons, is not — He even SUED, unsuccessfully, to block it. … Drummond is not the right guy. … VOTE FOR “MIKE MAZZEI FOR GOVERNOR,” on Tuesday, August 25th — MIKE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Thank you for your attention to this matter. Trump” on August 24, 2026 at 9:14 PM ET.
This is Trump’s 25th message released today, and the last post was 2 hours ago, and it is not part of a thread. On average, Trump produces 18 posts per day since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The move fits a broader pattern in Trump’s recent messaging, with 186 of his 607 posts over the last 30 days classified as Elections posts.
