Donald Trump nominated Brad Kelley to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, praising the LSU-trained lawyer and U.S. Army veteran.

He described Kelley as a partner at a major international law firm with the backing of both of Louisiana’s senators. The Eastern District of Louisiana is a federal trial court led by Chief Judge Wendy B. Vitter, with Carol L. Michel serving as clerk of court, according to laed.uscourts.gov.
