Trump Endorses Saritha Komatireddy for New York Attorney General

Trump backs Komatireddy, a Harvard Law graduate and former DEA chief of staff, while calling incumbent Letitia James the country's most corrupt attorney general.

WASHINGTON D.C. — Donald Trump endorsed Saritha Komatireddy, a Republican candidate for New York attorney general, casting the race as a referendum on incumbent Letitia James.

Trump framed the contest as a fight over crime and corruption in a state he said had “gone to HELL.” He praised Komatireddy’s legal résumé and named James, whom he called the “Most Corrupt Attorney General in the Country,” as the central target of the endorsement. He credited Komatireddy with the “Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results” for New York City and state.
